~ Making the Challenges Profitable ~

Challenges are good for the body and the psyche. They can also be good for the bottom line. There are all sorts of creative ways to package and present challenges that encourage clients to participate—and pay for the fun.

31-Day Challenge

The goal of the 31-Day Challenge is to see how many classes a client can take in 31 days. To encourage more privates, we also offer a slight Challenge discount on purchasing one private at a time. Those who can’t get to group classes or are on the waitlist often opt for privates on those days.

To amp up the excitement, my sister, Shannon, who manages the studios and is also a teacher, makes a colorful Challenge Board out of foam poster board. Clients add stickers (I have stickers with our logo on them) alongside their names after each class or session they take. Everyone in the studio (and community) can follow along and see who is winning.

The best part is that after seeing the results of their extra workouts, many clients don’t want to stop the routine, so they continue with their packages—and in some cases buy larger ones and new memberships.

Along with the extra income that comes directly from the Challenge, the studio benefits in future sales.

On the next page is a sample email you can send to your clients to get them excited about your 31-Day Challenge:
